An engine software and an auxiliary control unit should be developed, which guarantees a significant reduction in the consumption with the same or better performance of the engine. In this case, the exhaust gas values should be respected, the pollutant emissions should be reduced and the longevity of the engine must remain. Many tests had to be completed. Long-term studies on the behavior of the motors, measurements on power test stands, tests in exhaust gas laboratories and analyzes of the fuels were only a few operations that were carried out with many different vehicles and engines. Gasoline engines, for example, were tested as well as diesel engines, trucks and small cars (passenger cars). Up to the sports car Audi RS6, the tests, studies and test runs were repeated again and again. In cooperation with a well - known forwarding company, vehicles were used in double - blind studies with the ÖKO tuning equipment. The results were astonishing. We had already succeeded in the first attempts to reach the high goals. However, in order to be able to market a market-ready and error-free product in the long term, the stability of the motors in everyday operation was tested for months. These tests and the resulting results form the basis for today's product. When is the use of ÖKO Tuning worthwhile for me?
The savings potential lies in the range up to approx. Minus 20%. In the test vehicles, a savings of 14% - 22% was achieved in the third mix. This results in a mileage of approximately 20,000 km, after which the investment has amortized at current fuel prices. If the fuel prices rise, the threshold decreases starting from which the investment is worthwhile.
